Jesus is Alive! What Difference Does it Make for Us?
“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead….,” (Philippians 3:10, NLT)
This week, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, that Jesus rose again from the dead. Among the many religious leaders, Jesus is the only one who did. While many would flock to gravesites to remember and celebrate the life of their leaders or loved ones, Christianity has none. What we celebrate is a grave that is empty. Jesus is not there. He is risen!
The Apostle Paul realized that the resurrection of Jesus was not just a distant event in the past that we remember. He knew that this event has impact and significance for our daily lives. Jesus is alive! He wants us to know Him and experience His power!
He is alive! His death has given us new life and His resurrection is our assurance.
His love can wash away our sins
His wounds can bring healing to our brokenness and hurts
His mercy can conquer our past and our failures
His strength can overpower our weakness
His grace is sufficient for all our needs!
Let us celebrate together for He is alive!
